Answer: Based on my research, a few key things:

Bottom line, the Sphero version of BB-8 is more of a collectible than just a toy as it is more delicate and pays attention to small details. You wouldn't want your 150 bucks robot to take a beating or anything harmful ;)

Answer: LOL. I love how all the "Sellers" say it works GREAT on carpets. In reality, it depends on the type of carpet. Most plush carpets will slow this down to a crawl. 

Question: It claims to have an adaptive A.I. is this true and if so in what ways does it adapt?

Answer: It does not appear to adapt to anything or have any type of A.I. 

Question: Will BB-8 roll up an incline?

Answer: That depends on the incline. As long as he had a rolling start on a smooth surface and it wasn't too steep then maybe. I know he has issues with carpet and another reviewer reports that he can't get over the transition from her tile to carpet.
